Click the NADA button in the bottom right, the NADA tool will display if you have subscribed for this service. This tool can also be accessed to look up values for vehicles that have not been added to DeskManager by using the Option button on the Inventory List page and clicking NADA on the menu. The page is broken down into different data areas: 1. Book. The book area is where the dealer can select which NADA area they are pulling values.
Region – The Region choices are California Region, Central, Desert Southwest, Eastern, Midwest, Mountain States, New England, Pacific Northwest, Southeastern, Southwestern, and all 50 states. Visit the or speak with an NADA customer representative to learn what specific areas are covered by the different NADA regions. Save – Once the report has been run and the values are correct, click Save to apply the values to the deal. Valuation Reports – To access previous reports, click the Valuation Reports button. Then choose a Retail or Complete report, and click Preview to view it, or Print to print the report. The button has been set to only show the most recent valuation. Look Up Criteria.
The Look Up Criteria area is broken down into two sub areas, VIN and Specifications. You can enter a VIN and automatically Get Values (click the Get Values button) to have the tool decode the VIN, or you can leave the VIN blank and use the Specifications pull-down menus to define the year, make, series and body of the vehicle to be valued.
VIN – Enter the VIN and click Get Values to decode the vehicle’s VIN. Specifications – If the vehicle was decoded from a VIN, this area will be populated with the decoded information. If you are not using a VIN, use the different pull-down menus to describe the vehicle. Year – Select the Year the vehicle was produced. Make – Select the manufacturer of the vehicle.
Series – Select the Model – Engine combination for the vehicle. Body – Select the Body Style of the vehicle (Coup 2D, Convertible 2D GT, etc.). Mileage – Enter the mileage of the vehicle here. NADA may adjust the value of the vehicle up or down depending on their estimations. Lower than expected mileage on the vehicle when compared to the age of the vehicle will tend to increase the value. Higher than expected mileage based on the age of the vehicle may decrease the value.
Condition – Select the condition of the vehicle, this will change the Condition field for NADA in the tab of the deal. Options. These are options that a vehicle may or may not have from the factory. The Options section, while separate from the Look up Criteria section, is related because if the vehicle was successfully decoded, or if the specifications are all selected, the system will display options that NADA feels will affect the value of the vehicle.
